What is AI data licensing for businesses?

What is AI data licensing?

It's an agreement where a business licenses a copy of selected, de-identified records to an AI data company, which uses them to train and test AI models. You keep your business and your original records.

Is it the same as selling my company?

No. You keep your business. You would license a copy of selected, de-identified records under a written agreement with the buyer.

Why do AI companies want business records?

Real records of how work gets done, like support tickets, messages, process documents and project history, help AI systems learn tasks that public internet text doesn't cover well.

What stays out?

Customer personal information, your clients' confidential information and tax records stay out. Records are de-identified, and you approve what's included before anything is shared.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. If a deal closes, the data buyer pays Founders Dividend a referral fee, separate from what you receive.

Should I involve my attorney or accountant?

Yes. Have your own attorney review any agreement before you sign. This is general information, not legal advice.
